Wall Street’s Golden Rule: Whoever Has the Gold Makes the Rules — But What About God's Rule?

Wall Street follows a golden rule — but it’s not the one you learned in Sunday School. In the halls of finance, the real rule is simple: Whoever has the gold, makes the rules.

At first glance, it might seem harmless — just the way the world works. But for Christians who are called to be faithful stewards, this should sound the alarm.

Because while your money quietly grows in your 401(k), IRA, or brokerage account, it might also be fueling agendas that stand against everything you believe.

Wall Street’s Silent War Against Christian Values

Without faith-based filters in place, most mainstream investments support:

  • Abortion activism, masked as healthcare advancement.

  • Pornography, sold under the guise of entertainment.

  • LGBTQ+ activism, promoted as diversity and inclusion.

  • Labor violations and child exploitation, hidden beneath corporate buzzwords.

The world calls it progress. God calls it rebellion.

And yet, many believers unknowingly fund these very causes — not because they intend to, but because they trusted Wall Street’s golden rule over God's.

You Cannot Serve Two Masters

Jesus warned:

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” — Matthew 6:24 (NIV)

Wall Street serves money.Christians are called to serve God.

True stewardship demands more than passive investing. It demands intentional alignment with the heart of Christ — even when it's inconvenient, even when it's countercultural.

It's Time to Flip the Script

The good news? You are not powerless. You have a choice.

You can refuse to let your hard-earned money be weaponized against your faith. You can faith-filter your portfolio, investing in companies that promote life, family, dignity, and righteousness.

But even more importantly: You need the right guides alongside you. Not just any financial advisor will do.

You need a financial professional who shares your commitment to faithful stewardship — someone who believes that glorifying God matters more than chasing returns at any cost.

Your Call to Action

Today, take the first steps toward reclaiming your financial stewardship:

Screen your current investments to see what you're actually supporting.

Align your money with God's mission, not Wall Street's.

Work with a Christian financial advisor who understands the sacred responsibility of managing wealth for Kingdom impact.

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NIV)

Don't let your gold rule you.Let God rule over your gold — and over every investment you sow into the future.

Your money has a mission. Make sure it’s fighting for the right Kingdom.
